Directions
from Halifax International Airport
From
the airport, take Halifax off ramp to Hwy. 102. Proceed
along Hwy. 102 until you reach the Hammonds Plains exit
and at the bottom of the off ramp, turn left and proceed
towards Hwy. 103. Turn right on to Hwy. 103 and proceed
to Hubbards exit 6. At exit 6 you must turn left on the
off ramp and left again at the bottom of the highway connector
on to Hwy. 3.
Proceed
along Hwy. 3 and make your first right on to Hwy. 329.
Follow Hwy. 329 for 5 miles or 8 km until you see a sign
saying Birchy Head. Now look for a Church on the right
and reduce your speed so as to negotiate the 180 degree
turn left on to the Mill Cove Shore Road. The Ice House
is # 490 which is the third building on the left.
New Cottage 2 is located almost across from the
church. The door will be open, and the keys on the table.
Check in time is: after 3:00 p.m., but if you call the
property may be available earlier, depending on the cleaning
schedule.
Please
fill in your registration upon arrival. Total driving
time from Airport is about 60 minutes. There are four
restaurants located in the Hubbards area. There is a lobster
supper held on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer
months at the Shore Club located in Hubbards.
Please
note: Regular grocery stores are not open on Sunday,
so any supplies you need must be purchased from general
stores.

Please
follow the Lighthouse Route to Hubbards to Hwy. # 329.
Should
you choose to take the alternate route Hwy. # 101, which
leads to the Annapolis Valley along the Bay of Fundy,
you will need to cross the province via one of the four
main routes to get to Hwy. # 103 and continue on to Hubbards
and the Hwy. # 329.
Route 8 will take you through from Greenwood to Liverpool
Route 10 will take you through from Middleton to Bridgewater
Route 12 will take you through from Kentville to Chester

Route 14 will take you through from Windsor to Chester
